Bell ringing

bellsHopton Bell Ringers

The bells and tower of All Saints Church Hopton have recently been restored, bringing the bells to a fully ringable state and adding two bells to make a ring of eight. The bells are now all hung in a new steel frame, with a concrete ring beam to strengthen the tower.

Regular practice at Hopton has now been resumed following the restoration work and installation of sound control. Hopton Bell Ringers are always keen to have new recruits, so if you would like to learn to ring please contact us (details on our website or come along to a practice night, you can be sure of a warm welcome.

Practice nights alternate between Hopton and Hinderclay. Information on practice times and more information about the restoration and bell ringing can be found on our website: www.hoptonbells.com. You can read more about bell ringing here at the Central Council of Church Bell Ringers’ web site www.cccbr.org.uk.
